Mathieu Persan

Mathieu Persan is a 38-year-old independent Parisian illustrator. Passionate about graphic design from the 1930s to the 1960s, he draws a significant part of his inspiration from this universe. His retro style and committed themes have won over the international press (Le Monde, The Boston Globe, The Tampa Bay Times), publishing (Tana Editions, Rue Fromentin, Didier Jeunesse, Random House NYC) and musicians looking for a strong graphic style for their record cover. An admirer of genius poster artists such as AM Cassandre, Mathieu Persan also creates series of posters. The latest, in Vancouver, to highlight the city's Art Deco heritage.
